Knowle Astronomical Society members gathered in Dorridge Park early on 8 June 2004 to witness a "once in a lifetime" sight - the transit of Venus across the face of the sun.
Weather conditions were perfect and over 100 members of the public also turned up to see this remarkable event.
Phil Green has put together a slide show of images and newspaper cuttings showing the event at Dorridge Park and also some pictures of the transit itself. He has bundled them up in a "pdf" file, which must be downloaded first.
